You Are Allowed to Change

My dear,

You have held onto an image of yourself so tightly, as if your worth was stitched into the seams of an old dream. You built this version of you with careful hands, shaped by expectation and the lingering fear of disappointing others. But listen, there is no shame in change. No betrayal in becoming something new.

It is not failure to release what no longer fits. It is freedom.

Who you thought you were was not a mistake, only a stepping stone. She carried you this far, with all her hopes and all her worries. Thank her. Honor her. And then, let her rest.

Because now, there is someone else waiting. Someone real. Someone unburdened by the weight of old definitions. She does not ask for permission to exist. She simply is. And she is ready.

So loosen your grip. Open your hands. There is a whole life waiting beyond the borders of who you thought you had to be.

Always,

Sometimes, growth means releasing the person you thought you were so you can embrace the person you are becoming. This is a reminder that change is not loss, it is transformation. (2)
